Following a Public Service Review, Copsey’s (Denvilles) Ltd, have been asked to provide the Ministry of Defence with its Flower and Plant buying solution.
ForcesDiscounts.co.uk has been established to allow all businesses nationwide the opportunity to offer discounts to MOD Bases and Establishments as well as to individual Armed Forces Personnel and their families.
The scheme will be extended to Government personnel later this year to include Government Ministers, Local Government Employees, Civil Servants and Emergency Services personnel. Proximity to an MOD base or establishment is, therefore, not a necessity.
The money spent within MOD Bases & Establishments is public money – ‘Best Value’ is the directive from the Government.
Armed Forces personnel and their families relocate on a regular basis and the scheme will enable them to identify businesses in a new area and benefit from the discounts on offer to them.

Copsey’s (Denvilles) Ltd have been growing and selling flowers and plants in Havant, Hampshire since 1951. They supply supermarkets, florists and garden centres, throughout the UK, with high quality flowers and plants.
With this wealth of experience within the flower and plant industry, and established contacts with local MOD Bases & Establishments it makes perfect sense for Copseys to provide the MOD with its flower and plant buying solution.
Marketgrid is a UK-based software development and consultancy company specialising in Databases and Internet technologies to help businesses succeed. Marketgrid build bespoke applications: e-commerce systems, retail e-commerce solutions, on-line directories, intranets and extranets.
The company was founded in 1992 and has experience in many market sectors, including Internet technology companies, banking, travel, on-line shopping, engineering, and satellite communications.
ForcesDiscounts.co.uk will list businesses around the UK who are prepared to offer the MOD a 15% discount, or equivalent, on at least one product or range of products. The offer is entirely at the discretion of the business and can be varied at anytime throughout the year.
For a monthly fee of £40 full details of the participating business will be placed at www.forcesdiscounts.co.uk. Marketing material will be provided to the business to promote their participation in the scheme and eligible MOD personnel will be issued with Discount Cards to confirm their entitlement to the discount.
With over 360 MOD bases and establishments around the UK the potential increased trade to businesses is vast. MOD personnel will no longer have to source ‘Best Value’ local suppliers as these will already have been selected and displayed at www.forcesdiscounts.co.uk.
